USA has come through winter and we are ready to welcome warm weather that spring brings.  I can’t live without a fan to beat the heat, anything to make air move! I bought a fan at a yard sale, it was dirty but the $4.00 price tag fit my budget. I knew that I had my Eurosteam® XVapor 1500 steam cleaner at home and it would help me save this fan so the heat wouldn’t win!

In order to really steam clean this yard sale find I took it apart, with just a screw driver. I laid out all of the parts and started using my Eurosteam® XVapor on each piece, using a few different attachments that were all included with my steam cleaner, in the onboard tool box. I used the detail nozzle for the slats on the front and back of the fan and the detail brush for the blades as well as the squeegee to clean the metal frame.

It feels good to watch all the dirt and grime let go and get wiped away with a clean rag. In less than 30 minutes I had cleaned it all and left it to dry. I know that by using the power of steam to clean I had gotten rid of 99.9% of the germs, bacteria and dirt that came with that $4.00 fan; they were all gone and I have the cleanest fan and it looks like new, ready to keep me cool.
