Continual Fill
Units being advertised as continual fill are false
advertising. These units have an extra holding tank anywhere between 3 to 5
liters depending on model. Once the holding tank is low you can add water without
turning the unit off, however you have to add water. Units do not have a hose
hook-up for continual use.
Problems: Low water warnings cannot be heard in most commercial environments.
If water runs out in both tanks pressure vessel can only be filled with small
jets of water, this could take close to an hour to refill and reheat.
*To refill and reheat an ES1900 or ES2100 takes 10 to 12 minutes, and each
unit will clean for 1.5 to 2.5 hours on one tank.
Commercial Use
“Commercial Use” means using an instrument
in a commercial environment everyday for extended hours at a time. Vapor Steam
units have pressure vessels that heat up to as high as 300º. When using
equipment for extended hours it is not recommended to use plastic enclosed
units with a metal tank heated to over 300º.
Problems: Plastic is combustible with high amp electricity
and humidity from heating water, serious problems can occur.
There is no entity in the United States that test equipment for commercial
or residential use. Companies advertising plastic vapor steam units as “commercial
use” are just stamping “commercial” on these products. The
manufacturers of these products actually list them as for home use.
*Eurosteam
products are total stainless steel, all connections inside are made with copper
tubing and brass threaded fittings, and hoses are 12 feet with steel cable
support. This type of construction is better applicable for commercial use
than plastic.
